Fresh Updates

The latest release notes for Facebook list several changes. You can now like posts, photos and Pages while offline. You can remove tags you created, and remove tags of yourself that friends created. Post notifications can be turned on and off. The update also includes improvements for speed and reliability. The app requires Android 11 or later and is about 147 MB in size.

Facebook is for anyone who wants to stay connected with friends and family, join interest-based groups, follow creators, or buy and sell items in Marketplace. It suits both casual users who just want to scroll through updates and more active users who create content, manage communities, or use the platform for business. The variety of tools—from messaging to AI-assisted creation—makes it adaptable for personal and professional use, but the breadth may feel overwhelming to those who prefer simpler apps.

Take a moment to personalize your Feed settings and review your privacy options to control what you see and who can see your posts. Use the 'Offline' feature to like posts when you're without a connection, and explore the generative AI tools to add a creative touch to your messages and stories.

Facebook remains a versatile social platform that covers a wide range of needs, from communication to commerce. It's a solid choice for anyone looking to stay engaged with their social circle and discover new content, though the app's size and permissions may give some privacy-conscious users pause.
